Tried to warn y’all ’bout Rushmore…encouraged you to see Crazy Horse instead….but hey, you’re all guys (most of the time a GREAT thing), and after all Rushmore IS the backdrop for a classic movie scene. Well, at least now you can say you’ve seen it, and that it really is an abomination in the sacred Black Hills. The Lakota, Dakota and Nakota nations would tell you that the sacred Black Hills are the heart of their country, and the country of their heart. Hope you happened on the badlands at sunset (or sunrise)…they are other worldly (like parts of Yellowstone) and a photographer’s dream, and soul-nourishingly beautiful and peaceful.
Farewell, as you begin to leave the extended Big Sky Country and head back to the midwest where you are always IN the weather, and hardly ever get to see it happening. Happy Trails and a hug to everyone,

Drinking Problems plague production. Tommy looking for a drink, David needs a shot. Somebody gets hurt. Tommy fails to heed great Conservationist on Mt. Rushmore ‘Carry a big bottle and sip slowly’. Tommy can’t hold his liquid. U.S. 12 step program needed.
